The Manila Doctors Hospital Department of Family & Community Medicine is still accepting applicants for its 3-year accredited residency training program.
Please bring 2 copies of the following to the MDH DFCM office at the 12th floor: ( Pwedeng to follow iba)
- Recent 2 x 2 picture
- Fully accomplished application form from Medical Directors' Office, 2nd floor
- Certificate of internship
- Board rating & certificate
- Transcript of records
- Medical school diploma
- Class ranking
- Two recommendation letters
- Letter of intent addressed to Dr. Elmer Angus, Chair
- Results of Hepatitis B screening (HbsAg and anti-HBs) done at MDH (paid for by applicant)
Pre-residency is 1 month. As pre-residents, you will go on rotation into Family Medicine (floors; go on rounds with the residents and consultants) & Community Medicine & Out-Patient Department private and public, & you get to feel how to admit patients from the ER. Moreover, we have one of the best adopted community.
Duty is every 4 days. It is not necessary to submit all requirements at the same time. Starting salary for 1st year residents is Php 16,000 with an increment of Php 1000 every year level, subject to witholding tax. Training is more focused on family medicine (clinical; we have in-patients and we admit & manage cases similar to IM & emergency medicine). Community medicine exposure is daily basis but not total immersion. There are rotations to other departments, inside & outside of MDH, following the competencies set by the PAFP.
If you prefer a residency training with a work and life balance, then Manila Doctors Hospital - Department of Family and Community Medicine is what you're looking for. Presently, we have a lot of co residents who have family & kids but could juggle and comply with the requirements set by the dept and PAFP.
We also have a high passing rate in the PAFP diplomate examinations. And we are fully accredited by the PAFP.

Starting salary (1st year): PhP19,000+ (subject to tax)
Duty: Every 3 days, weekends off
With clinical rotations in other specialty departments in USTH, including RITM and Tondo Medical Center.
Community Rotation at Caritas-Manila, with training exposures on:
School Health, Sports Medicine, Occupational Medicine and Geriatrics.
1 month electives abroad (US and/or Australia)
-Requirements may be completed while on pre-residency.

Unciano Colleges and General Hospital Department of Family Medicine, Antipolo is still accepting applicants for its 3-year residency program.

We are only required 8 duties a month.
