Hi, naunahan lang ako ni Star Dust in posting for Vacancies dito sa seamans hospital.

I'm on my last day ( 4 days straight) sa surgery dept sa Ospital na ito. The hospital is nice and quite benign. OPDs madali lang. Surgeries medyo marami din but minimally invasive lang(Laparoscopic) mostly. They are also looking for reliever.

You can contact Dr. Coloma at 09204408720 if interested sa Surgery. Recomended ko ito. For further inquiries paki direct nalang po with Dr. Coloma. Thanks

Pag duty ka sayo lahat ng OPD until 5pm. after 12 noon yung previous duty uuwi na. So ikaw na take charge sa OR after 12. assisting the OR is a priority so you may leave the opd basta importante may mag assist sa OR. Sa gabi you will check all the admissions and compare it with the one's listed sa OR. You will order all the necessarry pre op orders and abx and inform the consultants of the OR na naka sched kinabukasan. Some minor update ng census daily and print one for the next duty. After that patingin tingin ka nalang ng cable or mag internet. Also may mga ward calls from time to time.

if magkita kayo ng susunod sa yo then you endorse. Pag previous ka then kaw kukuha lahat ng OR sa umaga. if may double table then yung duty papasok din sa kabilang table. OR palagi ang importante. If my surgical background ka kagaya ko sometimes ikaw na mag close ng wound kahit di ka pa kilala ng mga consultants. Sometimes they will entrust you to the excisions and minor cases.

Sa Opd naman, log mo lang ang mga patients sa computer. Examine them and refer them to their appropriate consultants. you will be given their tour of duties so you will know who to refer,.....ortho, uro, plain GS. If nawala ka then ask the elderly nurse sa OPD for guidance. Mababait naman staff. medyo malayo nga lang ang quarters ng surgery kasi nasa 4th floor at likod ng hospital. TO orders are alowed pero try mo habulin e countersign the next day. Try also looking at the patients kung kailangan para maiwasan ang complications. madalang lang ang tawag sa gabi regarding admissions. Pero kadalasan natotoxic ka sa referral.may mga referral kasi na kahit hindi surgical nirerefer just so may clearance from surgery. example.....di bale nalang.

So goodluck doki. Dr. coloma actually waited for you since 9am. kaso nag double table kahapon kaya di na kayo nagkita.
