hi guys. I'm currently applying to san beda and I've been using pinoymd since october, and I noticed that we still don't have our own thread. ang tanda na kasi nung ibang threads. anyway, sana dito na lang ilagay lahat ng questions and all that jazz para hindi na dun sa mga matandang thread.

anyway, tuition--> 85k
reservation fee--> 20k
no nmat cutoff
application fee --> 1.5k
application deadline is in may
business formal on your interview
everyone's friendly sa admissions so ask around

May sarili bang hospital ang San Beda? Yung affiliated hospitals nila eh 5 or 6 lang yata yung nakita ko sa website nila. Factor din pala kasi saken yun. Hehe. Thank you.

@sympathomimetic wala silang sariling hospital, kung san yung san beda mismo, dun rin ihohold yung college of med nila. pero yes, meron silang affiliated hospitals, quirino ata is one of them.

@monster_zyxel natanggap na ako actually, nung last week of january pa, maaga kasi ako nakapagexam (jan15) and interview (jan21). I just have to pay the reservation fee. ibabawas naman daw iyon sa tuition. pero hinihintay ko pa results ng ibang schools para makapagdecide ako ng maayos.

mabait naman san beda in terms of admission, sabi nga lang daw every year nangangalahati yung batch mo kasi mahirap daw exams. pero wala naman med school na madali ang exams. actually walang madaling med school, nasa studyante naman yon diba. haha

Ako kasama sa 1st batch of accepted applicants. Nung October pa ako nagexam at ininterview. Mabilis naman sila magprocess. Exam-interview-results: almost less than 2 weeks. Or baka dahil konti pa kami nun.

Pero YES, inaantay ko pa kasi results ng 1 pang school kaya di pako nakakapagpagbayad ng reservation fee. Sayang yun ha, nonrefundable yun! hehehe.

After kong binayaran yung reservation fee, kumuha ako ng curriculum nila. LUMA DAW YUN.
Pero kasi pending sa CHED yung bagong curriculum revisions nila. 2 years na daw yun pending sabi nung Dean.
Hehehe. So if di daw maapprove this AY, we follow the current curriculum they have. Minimal changes naman on the 1st year level ang difference, sa higher med year levels ang magiiba. So yun.

LOLS! Di naman. Hindi nila sinabi kasi until finalized ayaw nila ibigay ang kopya. So yung finofollow nila ngayon na curriculum ang nasa aken. Basta mostly sa higher year levels daw revisions... So...

Humingi kasi ako to compare sa ibang school? So wala lang. Sinabi saken yun. Mabait naman mga tao dun. Ewan ko sanay kasi ako sa masungit na government employees eh! hahahaha

hi again.. i got in sa san beda college of medicine ako ung waitlisted na nagtake ng exams last jan 11 hehe
i received a text from ms. jackie and it is said that i should reserve my slot .. ask ko lang panu mag pareserve?
will i just pay the said amount or my ipapasa ang other documents?

I think it's best for you to call up the admissions center instead. Wag ka magpanic mashado.

yung GWA na hinihingi nila is pwede mong makuha either sa registrar or dean ng college mo where you studied your Bachelor Degree. it is the sum up of all your grades from 1st year college to 4th year college... sa ibang school, just like ours, kasama na din dun sa GWA yung ranking mo... hope it help...

Yeah. Same kami ng ginawa ni Miaow-Miaow. I also requested a CERTIFICATION OF GWA sa College Secretary namin.

TOR can always be requested even if you havent graduated yet. BUT if you want ask them if you can submit TCG muna then to follow yung TOR para sure na kumpleto na when you request for one.

Ako dilemma ko if there's such a thing as ranking samin. Bahala na. Ask ko nalang. Sa MAY pa naman lahat ng requirements diba? Sa enrollment? Hehe.

Monday got a call that I can reserve my slot.

wala pang announcement ng enrollment. there shouldn't be any problem kahit nasa states ka ngayon. you'll just have to call them up and tell them you're interested in attending san beda med.


mabilis lang yung process, lately yung mga 2nd batch matagal kasi marami sila end of the year activities ata, and they're still holding out for the 1st batch of accepted applicants. and since konti lang kukunin nila, they cant really entertain a lot of applicants kung, let's say, they've already accepted a hundred or so individuals.

Guys, sa mga sure ball na sa inyo na papasok sa Beda, galingan nyo ha... mas naging strict na ngayon and the admin is really putting up the pressure. Tanggalan talaga kung tanggalan ngayon, well, dati pa naman, mas lang ngayon... survival of the fittest talaga kaya galingan nyo! Sir Babin is right. The college is strict with regards to exams, grades and rules implementation. We just had our whole school year ended. In our class at least 30 percent outright passed and only a few got the chance to take the removal exams with a shot at being promoted to t
he next level.
I suggest that as of now start reading about Physiology, Biochemistry, and histology. It's a heads up to have an advance understanding of these subjects. I'll post some pointers per module for you guys so you could start early on. Don't be pressured though. Enjoy the habit of reading and learning because that's the way med life goes. You should also develop good testmanship for the exams will always be harder and tricky. Good luck sa class nyo! By the way, I belong to class 2015.

ako nung january ngexam last thursday lang ako nasabihan na pwede nako magpareserve tagal ko din nghintay akala ko din wala na pag-asa pero meron pa pala!hehe goodluck!! ^^

tanong lang, meron bang mga dorm/boarding house/apartment/condo na allowed ang pets? may pusa kasi ako. nakuha ko kasi siya nung college ako and ayokong ipamigay lang siya or iuwi sa mindanao (malayo and my mom is a dog person). she is very shy and alam nya na di siya pwede pumupoo sa loob ng bahay. malinis naman siya, no galis or ticks (syempre alagang alaga). mejo mataba lang siya so pag hinigaan ka nya baka mahirapan ka huminga.

@miaow_miaow- sa mga condos and apartments pede. mjo strict ang mga dorms sa mendiola eh i used to live there during my pre-med days. there's a lot of condos in the first street sa likod un ng kfc.. mga apartments naman mrmi inside malacanang.. around st jude school and also sa likod ng ceu mdme dn dun apartments.

yung certificate of class ranking nakalagay kung pang ilan or what rank mo sa buong batch nyo.
