No offense to to religious fanatics and faith-persons but I liked how they made Dan Brown's "Da Vinci Code" into a movie. I don't know if anyone appreciated how they showed a non-bias clash of ideas in the part where Robert Langdon(Tom Hanks) was challenging the ideas of Professor Leigh about Christ's supposedly marriage with Mary Magdalene and them having a child.
Aside from the controversy, I think in appreciating a movie, we should try to set aside our own biases, beliefs, faith and so on. I did not believe in Dan Brown's story either, but let us give him credit for being able to inculcate researches, mind-boggling twists, mathematical expressions, current events, into one cohesive, thrilling, and intelligent story.
I hope they'll make a movie for the other Dan Brown classic, "Angels and Demons". I think it is more adventuruous, good plot and much more intelligently done. However, I will not be surprised if the Catholic Church will raise questions on its depiction of century-old controversies.

It's called suspension of belief....which is what the movies is all about
About spiderman 3, i can't understand why the critics are lambasting it...it's too long, trying to do many things in a short time, not much action, etc... i don't care what they say...i still enjoyed it!

I'll watch Spiderman 3 with the kids this week ( i don't pay attention to critics). I'm wondering if Shrek will be ok too.

Hi guys...
Gusto ko lang buhayin itong thread na ito...pwede din ba itong maging sort-of movie review for all those who've seen new movies, para ma-advise nyo yung mga hindi pa nakakapanood nun? Hehe...I got recommendations to watch a certain tagalog movie (with the acronym AVSL
) kasi in one of the other threads and sana maulit uli since I know marami din dito ang cinema buffs.
Wala pa ako napapanood recently uli eh...so I want to ask you guys...movie opening day uli ngayon so I could use some of your 2 cents.
Wall-E? Patok `to sa states. Maganda ba? Kasi...um, robot?? My gulay.
Zohan? Funny ang trailer. Advisable b sa sine or pwede nang pang-dibidi?
thanks in advance!
